Dr. Greg Nelson earned his doctor of chiropractic (DC) degree in 1995 from the National College of Chiropractic (Now the National University of Health Sciences) in Lombard, IL. He has extensive post-graduate training in the areas of sports injuries and strength and conditioning. He is sports injury certified (CCSP) by the American Chiropractic Board of Sports Physicians. In 1998, the National Strength and Conditioning Association certified him as a strength and conditioning specialist. Recently, Dr. Nelson has embarked on a new educational pathway leading to certification as a family nurse practitioner (FNP). Click here to learn why this is good for Dr. Nelson's patients! En route to this goal, he completed his bachelor of science in nursing (BSN) at Hardin-Simmons University in Abilene, TX in 2009. His training continues at Samford University in Birmingham, AL, as he seeks his master of science in nursing (MSN). This course of training will be completed in December, 2011 and will allow for vast expansion of primary care services he offers his patients. Dr. Nelson has served his profession at all levels of leadership, including local and state executive levels. In 2006, he was elected to the position of Secretary-Treasurer of the Texas Chiropractic Association, (TCA) which is one of the largest state chiropractic associations in the United States. His leadership culminated in his being elected to the position of President of TCA for the 2008-2009 term.Dr. Nelson has been recognized with several significant professional awards, including:

Dr. Nelson is married to Louise, also a nurse and his inspiration. Together they have one son, Cameron. He's a 9 year-old 4th grader and is really cool! When there is free time, Dr. Nelson enjoys the occasional round of golf, landscaping, reading, coaching soccer, and boating/tubing/fishing...generally anything involving a body of water.
